12/30/91 [REALLY EARLY IN THE MORNING TOO!]
v1.0a - Initial release.
01/02/92 v1.01a - Re-release of program. Fixed a minor bug that only allowed a
user to read the wall once. Also added a Chat Page option to
the main wall menu. I'm still debating adding a few more
options to the wall.
*** A CHANGE TO YOUR CONFIGURATION FILE IS NECESSARY! ***
A new option was added to allow the SysOp to define the
number of lines for the grafitti wall. Now up to 100 lines
are configurable by the SysOp (5 is the limit for unreg-
istered doors) - Thanks Mike Brady
01/22/92 v2.0ß - The source code was rewritten using Borland C++ v2.0. I wanted
to make the code tighter and faster than the original (which
was written in Turbo Pascal 6.0) and also wanted to make it
available to more BBS programs.
*** A CHANGE TO YOUR CONFIGURATION FILE IS NECESSARY! ***
A few options were dropped and a few were added to the
configuration file. All previous serial numbers, however,
are still compatible.
o Dropped was the name of the grafitti wall.
o Added was a SysOp security level feature to allow restarting
of the grafitti wall while online. This enables the SysOp
to get rid of a wall that's beginning to fill with
profanity or vulgarity.
[ THIS IS A BETA RELEASE TO TEST OUT THE NEW PROGRAM CODING ]
01/23/92 v2.01 - After having played around with my C++ utilities for writing
doors, I realized that I had hard-coded ANSI color commands
into THE WALL. So, I went back and rewrote the code to give
non ANSI users a screen they could read! :-)
Also added were some new menu options, including:
o (I)nformation On The Vampyre Bar! BBS (and the door)
I'm far more comfortable with this version and am releasing it
for use on all systems...
*** NO CHANGE TO YOUR CONFIGURATION FILE IS NECESSARY ***
01/26/92 v2.02 - Put the configuration option of naming the grafitti wall back
into the door after being begged repeatedly by a local SysOp.
Also added some surprise features to the wall, such as the
chance of either being arrested by the local police depart-
ment or being complimented by the local poetry society!
*** A CHANGE TO YOUR CONFIGURATION FILE IS NECESSARY! ***
You need to add to your configuration file the name you want
to use for the grafitti wall.
02/14/92 v3.0a - Made alot of code changes to reflect some request by SysOps
who have called the home board. I added an option for the
SysOp to give the "abusive" policeman a name and also to give
the user more time online (SysOp defined) at random intervals.
*** A CHANGE TO YOUR CONFIGURATION FILE IS NECESSARY! ***
You need to add the new lines to your configuration file so
that the new features can be implemented.
